BlackBerry OS 6 memang menjanjikan. Aneka kelebihan dan kontrol pengelolaan baru menjadi daya tariknya. Tidak heran jika banyak pengguna BB menunggunya. Maklum, sistem ini memang menawarkan suasana yang berbeda dibanding sistem operasi sebelumnya.

Jadikan BlackBerry BOLD sebagai Modem

Dunia internet yang semakin marak di kalangan masyarakat, secara tidak langsung menjadikan kebutuhan sekunder bagi sebagian masyarakat di Indonesia.

Namun sayangnya fasilitas pemerintah yang kurang mendukung membuat kita untuk berusaha sendiri untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut.

Sebagai contoh pada saat Anda berada di luar daerah dengan sulit jaringan internet, pastinya Anda membutuhkan sesuatu yang dapat dijadikan modem, jika Anda memiliki Blackberry Bold berikut ada beberapa langkah untuk menjadikannya modem.

1. Pastikan Aplikasi Desktop Manager telah terinstall dan di Open selama BB Bold terkoneksi sebagai modem di PC.

2. Dari menu PC Windows XP, Klik Start > Settings > Control Panel > Phone and Modem Options

Pilih Standard Modem COM....
(sesuaikan port COM BlackBerry device yg terdeteksi oleh PC)

3, Klik Properties, kemudian klik tombol Query Modem

4. Kemudian klik tab Advanced, isikan parameter berikut (contoh jika menggunakan SIM Card BroadBand ISAT; 0814xxxx)

Inputkan Sesuai dengan kartu SIM yang Anda gunakan
aT+cgdcont=1,"IP","indosatgprs"
at+cgdcont=1,"IP","www.xlgprs.net"
at+cgdcont=1,"IP","telkomsel"

5. Buat Profile dial-up connection. Klik Start > Settings > Network Connections > New Connections Wizard

Klik Next

Pilih Connect to the internet, kemudian pilih Next

Pilih Set up my connection manually

Pilih Standard Modem (COM... sesuaikan dg port BlackBerry device)

(User name dan password bisa dikosongkan)
Klik menu Dial

Google Nexus One Update ROM official dari Google

Google baru saja merilis update firmware untuk Nexus One, dikatakan di versi update terbaru ini (Build Number: ERE27) sudah support untuk multitouch di web browser, maps dan 3D gallery. Sekarang anda juga bisa menggunakan pinch to zoom gesture seperti yang bisa dilakukan di iPhone. Update ini juga memperbaiki sambungan 3G yang sudah sangat mengganggu pengguna t-mobile.

OTA update ini juga sudah bisa didownload, tapi bila anda menggunakan Nexus One Rooted dengan Custom Rom terinstall maka tidak akan di ingatkan mengenai official update ini. Biasanya Nexus One yang sudah di Root dengan Stock ROM akan ditawarkan OTA update dengan built in update utility dari devicenya sendiri. Apabila anda sudah menggunakan custom ROM, dan ingin segera mengupdate Nexus One Anda, ikuti instruksi yang di lansir dari Android Central yang akan membantu anda mengupdate Nexus One anda. Caranya:

Download the update from https://android.clients.google.com/updates/passion/signed-passion-ERE27-from-ERD79.a487b405.zip (Google official)
Rename the file to update.zip. Note that if you’re using Windows, just rename it to "update" (no quotes, of course) because it’s already a zipped file.
Copy the update.zip file onto your microSD card.
With your Nexus One off, hold down the trackball and press the power button.
You’ll be booted into a white screen with three Android robots on skateboards. Select "Bootloader."
On the next screen, select "Recovery."
Your phone will reboot, giving you a picture of the Android robot and an exclamation point inside a triangle.
Now press the power button and volume up button at the same time. It could take a couple of tries.
Now choose "Apply sdcard:update.zip" and let things run their course.
